The article is devoted to the theory of J. Habermas, which considers issues of civil societies, and issues of the development of Nonprofit organizations. The authors disclose the tasks, features, forms and types of non-profit organizations. Particular attention is paid to the historical aspects of the emergence and development of non-profit organizations in the world. Based on the analysis of various forms of prerequisites for the current situation, the authors draw conclusions about the future prospects of NPOs in our country and the world arena as a whole.
