The influence of emotional intelligence and value orientations of the head on the management system in business

Аннотация

This article presents the results of the analysis of scientific and popular science literature on the research topic in order to study the determinants of emotional intelligence of business leaders and the degree of their influence along with value orientations on relationships within the team and the entire organization as a whole. An excursion into the history of the study of this problem is made and a brief overview of the existing theoretical models of emotional intelligence is given. The relationship of emotional intelligence with values and value orientations has been revealed. Particular attention is paid to ways to develop emotional intelligence and improve the emotional literacy of managers, including for the effective implementation of their activities in stressful conditions - a pandemic. It is concluded that in modern realities success is achieved by a leader with a high level of emotional intelligence, and not a high IQ. In other words, emotional intelligence has a positive impact on management effectiveness.
